GFC Treatment for Skin
The condition
Growth-factor concentrate (GFC) is a non-standard term that may refer to a preparation made from your own blood (autologous).
Skinfinity treatment
Your clinician explains the blood-processing method, route, product traceability, supporting evidence and your individual suitability.
- Consultation first
- Options explained
- Written aftercare
What is the condition?
GFC commonly means growth-factor concentrate made from your own blood, but it is a non-standard term and not one universally defined product.
Our service list does not identify the target concern, processing system, route or dose. A clinician must assess your individual concern rather than assume facial rejuvenation.1
How Skinfinity treats this concern
We will explain whether blood is drawn and reinjected, or whether a topical preparation is used.
We document the tubes and additives, closed sterile processing, the equipment and its authorisation, the final volume or concentration, the route, treatment areas, visit schedule, clinician credentials, traceability, your consent and emergency arrangements.
A published pilot protocol should not be presented as Skinfinity’s protocol or as a recommended dose.1
What we confirm with you before treatment
- The target concern
- Whether blood is drawn and reinjected or a topical preparation is used
- Tubes and additives used
- Closed sterile processing system, equipment and its authorisation
- Final volume or concentration and dose
- Route and treatment areas
- Visit schedule
- Clinician credentials
- Traceability and validated handling
- Your written consent and emergency arrangements
What outcome can you expect?
A small split-face pilot study evaluated one autologous GFC preparation for nasolabial folds (the lines from nose to mouth) and reported improvement during follow-up, but this does not establish the same result for every preparation or concern.
Evidence for related PRP injections suggests at most a modest and possibly temporary improvement, with varied methods.

Aftercare and long-term support
- After a blood draw or injection, follow your individualised written instructions.
- Keep puncture sites clean, avoid rubbing treated areas and attend your scheduled review.
- Promptly report increasing pain, redness, swelling, fever, drainage, persistent bleeding, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, vision change, weakness or other severe symptoms.
Suitability, limitations and safety
Because the preparation comes from your own blood, it may reduce concerns about allergy to donor material, but it does not remove the risks of pain, bruising, fainting, infection, contamination, uneven results or injection injury.
A licensed clinician should assess your medicines, bleeding risk and relevant illness, use sterile single-use supplies and maintain validated handling and traceability.
We do not market GFC as an approved or proven regenerative cure, and it should not be assumed to contain stem cells or exosomes.12
