Q-Switch Laser & Laser Toning

The condition

May be considered for selected pigmentation, brown spots, freckles, sun spots, uneven tone and certain benign-looking dark marks. Changing or bleeding lesions need diagnosis, and melasma should be confirmed by a qualified clinician.

Skinfinity treatment

We use a verified Q-switched laser platform, with settings selected according to the pigment concern and skin type; short laser pulses may target pigment particles. Laser toning generally uses a lower-energy protocol and is not one standardised protocol. The wavelength, fluence, spot size, passes, indication, skin-type precautions and authorisation are confirmed before treatment.

What is the condition?

This service is not a disease. It may be used cosmetically for selected pigment concerns such as brown or grey facial patches, brown spots, freckles, sun spots, uneven tone and other benign marks.

Melasma is a common pigment condition with darker patches, often on sun-exposed facial skin. Melasma should be confirmed by a qualified clinician.

A new, changing, bleeding or unusual mark needs clinical assessment and diagnosis, sometimes including a biopsy, before cosmetic laser treatment.

The availability of this service at our clinic does not by itself establish a diagnosis or a standardised medical indication for you. Evidence and limits are summarised in the cited sources1234.

How Skinfinity treats this concern

We use a verified Q-switched laser platform to deliver very short pulses of light that may target selected pigment particles.

The wavelength, energy (fluence), spot size, number of passes and spacing between visits are chosen according to the diagnosis, your skin tone and the treatment goal, with the indication, skin-type precautions and device authorisation checked beforehand.

"Laser toning" generally describes a lower-energy protocol that may be repeated over time; it is not one fixed or standardised treatment.

Protective eyewear is required.

The exact product, equipment, settings, route, number of visits and responsible clinician are explained and recorded during your consultation; they should not be inferred from the service name. We check the manufacturer's instructions and the applicable Indian and local regulatory requirements before treatment.

Before proceeding, we explain whether the service is appropriate for your particular pigment concern and how ongoing sun protection affects the result.

What we confirm with you before treatment

  1. The laser wavelength
  2. The fluence (energy)
  3. The spot size
  4. The number of passes
  5. The indication for your pigment concern
  6. Skin-type precautions
  7. The device authorisation
  8. The manufacturer's instructions and applicable Indian and local regulatory requirements

What outcome can you expect?

The realistic goal is a lighter appearance of selected pigmentation and a more even-looking tone.

Improvement may be partial and may take time.

Treatment cannot promise completely clear skin, permanent removal, a cure or prevention of new pigmentation. Melasma and other pigment concerns can return, especially with sun exposure, and darker or lighter patches are possible.

Ask for a realistic, individualised plan rather than a guaranteed before-and-after promise. Where a condition may recur or continue, long-term management may be more important than a single cosmetic session.

Aftercare and long-term support

  1. Follow your written instructions, keep them, and attend follow-up.
  2. Keep your skin clean, and avoid picking or rubbing, including peeling or darkened areas.
  3. Avoid tanning, and protect the area with shade, clothing and a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher when advised.
  4. Do not restart strong or irritating products, waxing or other procedures until approved.
  5. Seek medical review for severe or worsening pain, blistering, marked swelling, pus, infection signs, spreading redness or unexpected colour change.
  6. Patient photographs or measurements are taken only with your consent, with privacy protection and under consistent conditions.

Suitability, limitations and safety

A changing or unusual pigmented mark must be examined before cosmetic laser treatment and may need dermoscopy or a biopsy.

Laser toning is not suitable for every pigment concern, and melasma can recur or worsen. Extra caution is needed in darker skin and in melasma.

Treatment is carried out by trained operators with appropriate eye protection, after lesion assessment and your informed consent.

We assess your skin tone, recent sun exposure, medicines, photosensitivity, active infection, cold sores and any previous pigment reactions.

Temporary darkening or lightening, blistering, infection, scarring or persistent colour change are possible.

Your provider should confirm their qualifications and review your medical history, medicines, allergies, pregnancy considerations and any contraindications. Sterile technique and single-use components are used where relevant, your privacy is protected, and informed consent, alternatives, expected discomfort and costs are documented.

Treatment should not go ahead over an unexplained lesion or hair-loss pattern until a qualified clinician has assessed it.

Contact the clinic promptly for worsening symptoms. Seek urgent medical care for breathing difficulty, severe pain, heavy bleeding, rapidly increasing swelling, neurological symptoms or other emergency signs.

We do not describe regenerative or stem-like products, including exosomes, Dutexomes, QR678, fillers and threads, as approved or proven without product- and country-specific verification.
